Expert 1 - Team Leader - CAT I

General description of the position:
Expert in improving decentralised/indirect management of EU funds (NAPs, AAPs, OPs, CBC programmes)

Expert category: 
Place of performance - Cat. I (>12 years of experience)

Qualifications and skills required: 
University degree with minimum 3 years of studies, attested by a diploma (i.e. Bachelor's degree), preferably in economics, law, finance, political science or public administration. In its absence 5 years of equivalent professional experience

General professional experience:
Minimum 12 years of post-graduate professional experience;

Specific professional experience:
- Minimum 9 years of professional experience in the field of EU funds management, either under cohesion policy and/or decentralised/ indirect management (with the beneficiary country) of EU pre-accession assistance;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in strengthening the capacity of national bodies and institutions within the indirect management with the beneficiary country (IMBC) system as part of capacity-building programs, operational, hands-on assistance for institutions (preferably targeting management structure bodies).
- Team leader experience gained in a minimum of two EU funded projects.
- Experience in managing within the national bodies and institutions in the system for decentralised/indirect management (with the beneficiary country) of EU pre-accession assistance is an advantage.

Language skills: At least C1 level in English
